Koinonia Remembered on-line

This book was written in 1992 to mark the 50th anniversary of Koinonia. With the help of Jeri Abbott, we are working on seeing the complete text and pictures available on-line. The book can also be ordered from our web store at cottonpatchstore.com

The following is the original introduction:

By Way of Explanation

The pages that follow are the memories, reflections and thoughts of the folks who wrote or recorded them and shared them with all of us. We have tried to give them to you as they came from them. As one writer. said in his accompanying note: "Most of this is 'remembered history'." And so it gives us the feelings people have in their hearts when the word Koinonia comes to their minds. As another contributor said, "I am telling the story as I remember it. If the details don't jibe precisely with those of others from that time, chalk it up to the distortion of time and memory."

It was difficult to select which of the pictures to use and many times we wished we could also have used the wonderful color pictures that people sent.

Thank you to all who contributed stories, tapes and pictures. Thank you to all who worked at getting the book together. I hesitate to name names for fear of leaving someone out --but special thanks to BJ Jones, to J an Zehr, to Art Field and to my husband, Les.

It has been a rare privilege to put all these "bits of heart" together. It adds a special dimension to the place I call my home --a treasure that I share with you.
