Koinonia Partners, Inc. is a Christian organization seeking to be a "demonstration plot for the Kingdom of God". We are committed to nonviolence and peaceful solutions to society's problems, reconciliation among all people, Christian discipleship, and the empowerment of the poor, the neglected and the oppressed. 1970s to present*

A Brief History of Christian Witness at the School of the Americas

1975 Demonstration at Ft. Benning against Vietnam War when President Ford
visited.
1975-1980 Resident Partners take active role in trying to elect people of
color and other supporters of public education to Sumter County School
Board.
1979* Demonstration at Electric Boat in Groton, CT for commissioning of USS Georgia, a trident sub commissioned by Roslyn Carter.
1980 Week-long demonstrations at the Pentagon for "Year of the Election"
sponsored by Jonah House community.
1981* Witness at the Pantex plant in Amarillo, TX.
1981 Witness against execution of John Spenkelink in Florida at the Starke
Prison.

1982

Koinonia Partners adopt a Peace Resolution

1982* Peace Pentecost witness at the US Capitol with Partners from Jubilee .
1982 “Plutonium Path” Caravan witness goes from Savannah River Plant to
Pantex and Rocky Flats.
1982-1985 On-going tracking of "the White Train" carrying nukes to submarine
bases in SC and GA.
1983 witness at Robbins Air Force Base against nuclear weapons.
1983-1988* witness at King's Bay Trident Sub base in St. Mary's, GA
1984* Nuclear Train Blockade.
1984* Peace Pentecost witness against arms race and Apartheid in Wash., SC.
1984-1990 Public vigils (with model of an electric chair) against executions
at Sumter County Courthouse on days of executions.

1985

Montezuma Nuclear Train

1989* Witness with Open Door Community Partners on behalf of the homeless at
the dedication of "Underground Atlanta".

1999 to present
