Ellie Castle is known for her “worse verses” for departing visitors shared at our community meal. Well, the tables were turned at the party. The spring interns wrote a worse verse for her.

There once was a girl, sweet as honey

Who lived like the Energizer Bunny

She spent her days laughing and serving

For the good, her heart always was yearning

There were many who tried to woo and to tame her

But none were able to claim her

Till one day she fell for Dave Castle

Who hasn't given her too much of a hassle

She became a devoted wife and a mother

She could make a bed like no other

Soon they found themselves called to community

To seek a deeper sense of God's unity

Now she starts our mornings off right with a song

Her angelic voice stays in our head all day long

She lights the peace candle each day for devotion

Ridding our hearts of all commotion

They've been here through good times and bad

That they call Koinonia home...we're so glad!
