One of the greatest blessings of our lives is to count ourselves among those who have
been touched by the life and spirit of Clarence Jordan. We never met him in person, never
watched him speak or farm or teach or write. Yet, like so many who come to Koinonia,
we have been forever changed by listening to the words he recorded, walking through the
fields he planted, meeting students with whom he shared, and by thinking and reflecting
all alone for long afternoons in his writing shack. Simply put, we have never met anyone
quite like him. We await our annual Come Home to Koinonia celebration, October 29-
31, 2004 with great excitement. Won't you join us in celebrating Clarence's life and the
past, present and future of Koinonia?
We will honor
some special folks, presenting the Koinonia Special Recognition Award to Faith Fuller,
the Koinonia Partner Award to John Cole Vodicka, and the Clarence Jordan
Humanitarian Award to Con Brown. There will also be plenty of time to get
reacquainted with old friends and to make new ones.
We look forward to spending time with you and hearing more stories about Koinonia.
We hope to see you in October. Sincerely,
Bren Dubay &
