Stamp Out Hunger - stamp donation guidelines
  • The most valuable stamps are any foreign stamps and any U.S. commemoratives (stamps that honor a person, place or thing, generally 1”x1.5" or larger).
  • Standard issue stamps (flag stamps, Christmas stamps, Love stamps, etc.) are not worth sending unless they have been removed from the envelope.
  • To remove stamps from envelopes, either steam them off, or for large quantities, soak them in warm water. Self-adhesive stamps take longer than old-fashioned glue stamps to soak off.
  • Stamps can be unused or used and cancelled. Unused stamps are worth more.
  • Please save up large quantities of stamps, so that the money obtained will be worth more than postage needed to mail the stamps in. (Get your friends or church to pool stamps with you, and you will gather many stamps quickly!) Fill a large envelope full, perhaps 3-4 ounces or more, and then…
  • Send your stamps to Bob & Peg Winkler, P. O. Box 221, Pleasant Hill TN 38578
  • Thank you for helping to Stamp Out Hunger!
